Au crépuscule, à la lisière d’une forêt d’automne, Lilly, sept ans, cherche sa grande sœur, Nora. Lors de sa quête, elle fait la rencontre des mystérieux habitants qui peuplent les bois. Guidée par la lumière du Rootman – une créature énigmatique – Lilly retrouvera-t-elle sa sœur ?
